Type approval or certificate of conformity is granted to a product that meets a minimum set of regulatory, technical and safety requirements. Generally, type approval is required before a product is allowed to be sold in a particular country, so the requirements for a given product will vary around the world. Processes and certifications known as 'type approval' in English are generally called 'homologation', or some cognate expression, in other European languages. In Vietnam, the Verification and Certification Center 1 (Hanoi) of Vietnam Telecommunication Authority (VNTA) starts using a new Type Approval certificate form since early January 2019. New Type Approval certificate form is just a bit different from previous form in decorative details, all the information listed on the new form kept being the same with current form. Mean while Verification and Certification Center 2 (HCMC) and 3 (Da Nang) still granting Type Approval certificates in previous form.
It is supposed that both forms are still being used at this moment until VNTA use up all the old ones.
