MIC Letter No. 2361/BTTTT-KHCN guiding for implementation of Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, listing the QCVN standards that ISO/IEC 17025 test report is accepted for 5G NR mobile phone ICT approval

MIC Letter No. 2361/BTTTT-KHCN guiding for implementation of Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, listing the QCVN standards that ISO/IEC 17025 test report is accepted. In genral, the most concerns is related to certification for 5G NR mobile phones according to QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT and QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT. Our brief on the requirements for CE test reports based on MIC letter 2361/BTTTT-KHCN are as below:

CE reports requirements for 5G NR

QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT for 5G SA terminal:

→ Technical requirements and test method according to 3GPP TS 38.521-1 v16.6.0 / ETSI TS 138 521-1 v16.6.0, 3GPP TS 38.521-2 v16.5.0 / ETSI TS 138 521-2 v16.5.0 or later version.

→ For mobile phone: test report must include test result for n1, n3, n28, n41 all at the same time

→ For mobile phone: n77, n78, test result may not include it but product hardware must be able to support those bands

→ ISO 17025 scope of the test lab must include the above listed standard

→ Test report must include photo of product, country of origin (Made in xxx), label photo, S/N of EUT or other kind of identical number of EUT

→ Test report must include all applicable test items (even if it is not required for CE) with detail of test result value

→ Test lab must be a GCF certified lab for 5G NR testing

→ GCF certificate of the product shall be a great help to smoothen the certification process

 

QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT for 5G NSA terminal:

→ Technical requirements and test method according to 3GPP TS 38.521-3 v16.3.0 / ETSI TS 138 521-3 v16.3.0 or later version

→ For mobile phone: Test report must include test result for all the combination band sets listed in Table 1 of the QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT (except for DC_1_41, DC_28_41)

→ For mobile phone: combination band set listed in the Table 1 related to n77, n78, test result may not include it but product hardware must be able to support those bands

→ ISO 17025 scope of the test lab must include the above listed standard

→ Test report must include photo of product, country of origin (Made in xxx), label photo, S/N of EUT or other kind of identical number of EUT

→ Test report must include all applicable test items (even if it is not required for CE) with detail of test result value

→ Test lab must be a GCF certified lab for 5G NR testing
