Vietnam MIC has officially released Circular 06/2021/TT-BTTTT and acompanying QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT applies for 5G Stand-Alone user equipment. This technical regulation shall be applied for ICT type approval for mobile phone and terminal equipment, take effect from March 01, 2022 and enforced from July 01, 2022.
QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT key contents:
(National technical regulation on 5G Stand-Alone user equipment - Radio access)
1) The QCVN 127:2021 shall be applied for all 5G Stand-Alone user equipment inclunding 5G phones.
2) This technical regulation is said to be composed based on ETSI TS 138 101-1 V16.7.0 (2021-05), ETSI TS 138 101-2 V16.6.0 (2021-01), ETSI TS 138 521-1 V16.6.0 (2021-02), ETSI TS 138 521-2 V16.5.0 (2020-11) and shall not totally equivalent to any CE standards due to different frequency allocation and management purposes
3) Regulates tecnical requirements for the n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n41, n77, n78, n258 Sub-6 and mmWave bands.
4) 5G Stand-Alone mobile phone must be able to operate in n1, n3, n28, n41, n77, n78 bands
4) The QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT takes effect from March 01, 2022; enforced from July 01, 2022; but applicants can apply for certification in advance on voluntary basis.
