On March 31, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN, amending and supplementing Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT. A key highlight of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN is the inclusion of frequency planning for the 6GHz WiFi band (5925 ÷ 6425 MHz). This means that WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 will officially be permitted for use in Vietnam starting from May 15, 2025—the effective date of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN.
In addition to the 6GHz WiFi band, the Ministry of Science and Technology has also added several frequency bands for wireless charging devices (315 ÷ 400 kHz) and revised the corresponding spurious emission limits.
