Maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical (BSR) - ExtendMax Exceeds Schedule

Dung Quat Oil Refinery, under the ownership of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (stock code BSR), is the first oil refinery in Vietnam, located in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province. It is one of Vietnam's significant economic projects and a national priority at the beginning of the 21st century. The Dung Quat Oil Refinery is a key national project, ensuring energy security and making substantial contributions to Vietnam's GDP through high-value refining and petrochemical activities. Providing services to BSR for importing information technology equipment for the 5th comprehensive maintenance of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery is one of the most urgent contracts ExtendMax has ever undertaken.

The 5th Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery includes six main packages handled by domestic and international contractors. Additionally, this project also has in-house packages consisting of 5,036 maintenance tasks such as compressor systems, rotating equipment, automation, and electrical equipment, all executed by BSR.

To meet the project's deadline, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company selected ExtendMax as the main contractor to provide importer of record services, quality inspection, and conformity certification of information technology equipment under the ICS (Instrument and Control System) upgrade package in the PP workshop. The progress requirement for this item set by the investor BSR is very high, creating immense pressure on ExtendMax.

To complete the project ahead of the deadline set by the investor BSR, ExtendMax developed a detailed plan, concentrating resources, particularly human resources, and coordinating the best experts from ExtendMax to participate in this project. Mr. Tran Thanh Phuong, CEO of ExtendMax, also directly participated in the project with the team. All processes for applying for civil cryptographic product import permits and quality inspection registration for imported goods were urgently carried out with absolute precision. Coordination with other BSR contractors, such as Petrosetco, was also given special attention by the ExtendMax project team to ensure no errors or delays.

Only after two weeks, ExtendMax completed all contracted service items with BSR, contributing to the 5th comprehensive maintenance of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery ahead of schedule. ExtendMax's excellent completion of the ICS import service package for the Dung Quat Oil Refinery maintenance is a clear testament to the company's capacity, reputation, and position in the field of conformity certification consulting and entrusted importation.
