On 13-April-2018, CEO ExtendMax Vietnam - Mr. Alex Phuong Tran has attended and presented details of MIC Vietnam QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT Safety SDoC certification to lithium battery manufacturers in a seminar held by NTEK Group in Shenzhen China. Lithium battery packs used for portable applications in Vietnam (smart phones, laptop computers, and tablets) are subjected to mandatory Declaration of Conformity (DoC) of Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC Vietnam). Requirement is complied to national technical standard QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT (which is equal to IEC 62133-2:2017 and IEC 61960-3:2017). For the first stage of implementation since 01-Oct-2017, only item 2.6 - Safety requirement of QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT (IEC 62133-2:2017) is enforced.

At the seminar, Mr. Alex Phuong Tran has introduced to the battery manufacturers the very details of the MIC Vietnam Lithium Battery Safety Declaration of Conformity (DoC0 certification procedures, requirements, eligible test reports, and other necessary documents required by Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and Vietnam Telecommunication Authority (VNTA).
Experts from UL-CCIC and senior managers from NTEK Group have also presented new UL standards and regulations that applied to lithium batteries worldwide.
