Regulation on list of imported products (Electric and Electronic home appliances) subjected to quality inspection under management of Ministry of Science and Technology Vietnam

MOST Vietnam has issued Circular 07/2017/TT-BKHCN dated 16-June-2017 to amend Circular No. 27/2012/TT-BKHCN dated 12-December-2012. This circular causes major changes in the method how importer / manufacturer obtain Vietnam MOST Type Approval for Electric and Electronics home appliances

Highlights:

- Product inspection will be mostly changed from "pre-inspection" to "post-inspection"

- Samples for local testing and inspection in order to obtain MOST Type Approval are exempted form import inspection / type approval.

- Goods inported for non-commercial purpose (H11) are exempted from import inspection / type approval

- If importer has imported 3 lots of the same product within 06 months, the product (imported by this importer) will be exempted from import inspection / type approval for the next 01 year.

This circular enters in effect since 01-October-2017
