On December 25, 2019, MIC Vietnam has issued Circular 19/2019/TT-BTTTT to allocate 694 - 806 MHz band for 4G IMT Advanced (LTE Advanced) and later generation of 4G. This circular shall take effect from February 02, 2019 and MIC may open bidding for frequencies within this band after that. Before, at the 4G LTE 2018 International Conference, held in Hanoi on 6-April-2018, allocation for 700 MHz band for 4G LTE was announced by Mr. Doan Quang Hoan director of ARFM authority
The Circular stipulates that the band 694-806 MHz is planned as follows:
The band segment 694-703 MHz is reserved as the guard band;
The band segment 703-733 MHz is reserved as the uplink band. The band segment 758-788 MHz is reserved as the downlink band;
Band segments 733-758 MHz and 788-806 MHz: Specialized radio systems currently temporarily operating in these bands must have a frequency conversion plan to free the band, not deployed. new specialized radio systems in these frequency bands.
Accordingly, organizations and individuals are not allowed to use new and deploy additional radio equipment other than IMT-Advanced and subsequent versions in the band 694-806 MHz. Enterprises deploying the mobile communication system IMT-Advanced and subsequent versions in the band 694-806 MHz have the responsibility to coordinate with each other in the use of radio frequencies and apply preventive measures avoid harmful interference. This is the reason why UHF wireless sound device frequency band is limited at 470 ~ 694 MHz frequency range
