Annex J
HS Codes of short-range radio equipment and magnetic loop equipment in the frequency range 9 kHz - 30 MHz
TT | Product name according to the QCVN | HS codes | Product description |
Short range radio transmitters and transceivers for general purposes | 8517.62.59 8517.62.69 | Equipment with an external antenna connector and/or with an integrated antenna, intended for the transmission or reception of voice, images or other data; including devices using active NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. | |
2. | Radio detection and alarm equipment | 8526.92.00 | Device consisting of a sensor and a control system interconnected via a radio interface for radio detection and alarm purposes |
3. | Radio remote control equipment | 8526.92.00 | Equipment using radio waves to control models, or remote control in industrial and civil applications. |
4. | Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) | 8517.62.59 | The device uses radio waves to automatically identify, track, manage goods, people, animals and other applications. The device has two separate units connected via a radio interface: - Radio transceivers, which store information in the form of an electronic chip tag (RF tag), mounted on the object to be identified; Only applies to RF tag with power source. - Radio transceiver (RF Reader) to activate the RF tag and receive the tag's information, forward to the data processing system. |
5. | Inductive loop device | 8504.40.19 8504.40.90 | Short-range radio equipment operating on the principle of electromagnetic fields, including: - Radio Frequency Identification Device - Device using Near Field Communication technology - Equipment used in the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) gate system operates in the LF and HF |
New points of QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT
Compared to QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT (current version), QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT has the following basic new points.
1) Applicable scope extended from 9kHz ~ 25MHz up to 9kHz ~ 30MHz and include ISM band 26,957 ÷ 27,283 MHz.
2) MIC add HS code of SRD products which is under mandatory applicable scope
Taking effect date of the QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT
Based on the draft circular promulgating regulations, it is expected that QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT will take effect from 01 July 2024 and be mandatory in the same day.
Insight from ExtendMax regarding QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT
→ Accordingly, the products having NFC or SRD 125kHz transmitting functions or other short-range-device shall need to apply to obtain MIC Type Approval certificate with QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT standard. Typical products under its mandatory scope are smart phones, SRDs used in vehicle, 125kHz RFID, etc...
